The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year.

From the Summer Solstice in June through now, the nights grow longer. The days are much shorter.

Primitive cultures often used this time to rest and retreat from hunting, and to harvest the edible plants. This was the time to slow down and enjoy the gifts of the GrandMother.

The Winter Solstice is a time to offer—into the dreamtime of that longest night—the most cherished dream of yourself for the coming year.

It is a time to dream.

This coming ceremony is a way for each of us to honor this ancient tribal wisdom and to allow ourselves to slow down and reflect.

What in our lives requires transforming?

What gifts have we received through the process?
